High-ranking visitors at LIST gained hope for the future from ongoing projects
The team in LIST was visited by His Royal Highness the Grand Duke of Luxembourg and the Minister for Research and Higher Education Stéphanie Obertin.
They expressed a strong interest in
Electrocaloric cooling (projects EIC COOLPOL - Cooling with Electrocaloric Polymers (EIC Pathfinder Challenges / European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA) and FNR POLYCOOL Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR)) and
Pyroelectric energy harvesting (projects ERC ELEC-FROM-HEAT European Research Council (ERC) and FNR THERMODIMAT).
The Grand Duke told Emmanuel Defay, PI and coordinator of EIC COOLPOL, that this research gives him hope for the future.
The visit was supported by the Ferroic Materials for Energy Harvesting group at LIST.
